- 5 bay station on blitz site, built by Liverpool NFS. Opened May 1944

- site is now the car park to a Tesco supermarket. The site was previously redeveloped for a school, probably late 1950s.
- Station built on part of bomb damaged site. Parachute mine explosion on Index Street night of 3/4th May 1941. 42 people died when about 48 properties destroyed or very badly damaged
